1. Who This Policy Applies To

I am in the process of setting up sole proprietor in the Netherlands, provides AI education and related services for adults. This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used, shared, and protected when people visit the website, request information, or use the services.

If someone does not agree with this Privacy Policy, they should not use the website or services.

The following personal data may be collected:

4b. Email Newsletter

If you sign up for new blog posts, your email address is stored by Brevo, the email service used to send them. Brevo is based in France, and subscriber data is held within the European Union.

Signing up uses double opt-in: after submitting the form you will receive an email asking you to confirm. Nothing is sent to you unless you click that link, and no one else can add you to the list.

Your email address is used only to send new posts and, in future, news about the course. It is never sold, rented, or shared for anyone else's marketing. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time without giving a reason. You can also email education@aifluency4parents.com to be removed.

5. Cookies and Analytics

The website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions and analytics. This is limited to Google Analytics 4, which helps measure website traffic and visitor behaviour. No advertising or marketing trackers are used.

Analytics cookies are only set if you consent to them. You can accept or reject them using the cookie banner shown on your first visit, and you can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer. Cookie settings can also be managed through your browser. Blocking some cookies may affect site functionality.

6. Sharing of Personal Data

Personal data is not sold, rented, or traded to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Personal data may be shared only in the following situations:

• with service providers that process data on behalf of the business. These are currently Netlify (website hosting), Google Analytics (site usage measurement, only with your consent), Brevo (the email newsletter), and Web3Forms (delivering messages sent through the contact form);
• where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect legal rights, safety, or security; or
• in connection with a business transfer such as a sale or restructuring, if applicable.

7. International Transfers

Some service providers, including Google, may process data outside the Netherlands or the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA or UK to a country without an adequacy decision, appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or similar approved mechanisms are used.

• account information may be kept while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards; and
• analytics and technical logs may be kept for up to 24 months, often in aggregated or pseudonymised form where possible.

Depending on applicable law, individuals may have the right to:

• request correction of inaccurate data;
• request deletion of personal data;
• request restriction of processing;
• object to certain processing, including direct marketing; and
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

The services are intended for adults. Personal data is not knowingly collected from children under 16, or the minimum age of digital consent in the relevant country if higher. If such data is believed to have been collected, contact should be made so that it can be deleted.

If a visitor is a California resident, they may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what categories of personal information are collected, the right to request deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.
